The Healing Ceremony. This is a color pencil drawing created in Lilydale, New York of a visit by the Tibetan Monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery. They spent several days creating a Sand Mandala for healing. The Mandala was subsequently destroyed in the pictured ceremony to demonstrate the impermanence of all things. Envelopes of the sand were then given to the attendees for personal healing, followed by a parade to a nearby lake where the remainder of the sand was poured to go out to the world for spiritual, mental and physical healing.
Retired from teaching, Alberto has placed his focus on expressing himself through his passion for art. He is currently featuring his color pencil works from Ocean City, Maryland, and Seven Springs Mountain Resort.
